This Saturday: Paul Collins with "Sofa Cats"

Paul Collins from Chicago will be calling at our first-Saturday dance on November 7th. The music will be provided by one of our favorite bands, the Sofa Cats from all over North Alabama. See you there.

November 21st: Janet Shepard and "Hyde Nor Hare"

Atlanta's Janet Shepard will do the calling once again for this month's pre-Thanksgiving dance. Our own Hyde Nor Hare will set your feet a-tappin'! Come and work up an appetite for turkey.

Is it November Already?

Our Halloween "Blue Moon" dance last weekend was a howling success. The music, calling and refreshments were all great. There were very imaginative costumes that ranged from the intriguing, through the horrifying, all the way over to the outrageous. Speaking of which, Bryan reports that three of our Huntsville dancers won costume prizes at the Music City Masquerade last month: Kimberly Hart, Marcy Robinson and Fred Kolchin. Congratulations! See pictures below.

Public radio station WLRH (89.3 FM) helps us publicize our dances each month. Several NACDS members took the opportunity to help the station during its "Fall Friend-Raiser" by answering the phones. Among those participating this year were: Natasha Kunin, Daniel Schenker, Marcy Robinson, Jill Gardner, and Bryan Walls. Well done!
